Davie Ocho is clearly
“not your average candle shop.”
Contrary to many delicate candle artists, these candles are boldly vibrant and intricately designed. I designed mockup displays to reflect just that, while also staying true to that distict southern California feel. It combines the colorful nature of the candles, using contrasting colors that highlight the uniqueness of each candle in a minimal, yet artful way while also subtly embracing a bit of retro nostalgia. A few examples include:
- A Western-themed display, with warm yellows, reds, and sage; featuring a playful Looney Tunes reference with Bugs Bunny coming head to head with Yosemite Sam.
- For the Architectural / Roman Candles, I opted for a minimalist, elegant design, featuring a ceramic accent table that compliments the candle design in both shape and color.
- Finally, the high-top sneaker candles are presented in a 1970’s basketball trading card-themed setting. Bold and vibrant colors, basketball court graphics, and oversized trading cards highlight these candles.
Brand consistency was maintained throughout each design by incorporating Davie Ocho’s desired branding elements, while also highlighting each candle’s versitility. These deliverables include design mockups, detailed visual representations of each theme display and product, ensuring a visually stunning and memorable shopping experience.
